Community, environmental, and municipal relations are important for HMA producers and when they have an odor problem, they address it! Asphalt Solutions Additive® is a true odor suppressant, whose chemical properties act as an oxygen scavenger with the asphalt to provide an end-to-end solution for asphalt odor: from holding tank to the paver. At a cost of 3 to 7 cents per ton of hot mix asphalt (HMA), the additive is an economical answer to improving the environment for workers and neighbors of hot mix facilities.

Patented in the US, Canada, and Europe, there is finally a cost-effective solution that is currently in use worldwide. So, what we have is a fantastic way of reducing the noxious odors of hot-mix asphalt with no ill effects on the end product. This is greatly appreciated by the people that have to work with it, or that live near one of these hot-mix plants.

Since its inception, we have conducted rigorous testing, refining, and improving how Asphalt Solutions® interacts with asphalt emission chemistries, an asphalt cement additive that greatly reduces the odor of hot mix asphalt.

All of our additives have undergone extensive testing at the National Center for Asphalt Technology (NCAT) at Auburn University, and those results are available for review. There are currently hundreds of hot-mix contractors, AC terminal facilities, and oil refiners utilizing Asphalt Solutions® Additive, or one of our other odor control products. We also offer additives for use in the production of rubberized asphalt and specific anti-strip asphalts.
