The product Roof Odors-Solutions Inc, is an additive that when mixed with hot asphalt has an active ingredient that exhausts all the oxygen available in the mix and thus stops the oxidation process. With out this process sulfur fumes cannot form, and sulfur is the number one cause of asphalt odor.

Introduction into holding tanks:

For previously filled tanks, determine the amount of asphalt in the filled tank and determine the correct ratio of Roof Odor Solutions Additive to introduce, suggested ratio of additive to asphalt: 1 gallon (3.8L) to 6000 gallons (22,800L) of liquid AC.

Once the correct ratio has been determined the circulation system should be activated. After a brief period of circulation add the Roof Odor Additive to the mixture. Allow the circulation system to continue to process both products. After introduction of the additives the best results will occur with continued circulation. Do not introduce additional asphalt until the volume of the tank has been depleted.

The preferred method of introduction is to add the Roof Odor Additive to an empty holding tank. Ratio will be the same as with the previously filled tank, with the tank empty, introduce a small amount of the additive. Then begin to introduce both the remaining additive and the asphalt as concurrently as possible. For the best results an in-line injection of the additive is preferred. Again, the additive should only be introduced post-blowing.
